what the church of St. Porphyrius looked like. There had been a church here since 425 A.D. but this one dates back to 1150. The crusaders built it and dedicated in to Saint Porphyrius, a 4th century bishop of Gaza.
I'm not sure how it went from Catholic to Orthodox but regardless it was a piece of history, built by the crusaders themselves 900 years ago. Even if you're not religious or even Christian that should mean something to you.
