Fucking Nintendo scams an indie game dev by making them work on a Switch version of their game and then the Western branches decided the game "could damage Nintendo's brand" just a day before it releases thus pulling it from the eShop. This should be illegal or they should reimburse the dev if they paid for a dev kit. The Great Rebellion can be bought on Steam instead and has conservative themes, which were actually toned down by the devs themselves just so it could release on the Switch but it was all for nothing, unfortunately. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2732820/The_Great_Rebellion/
Meanwhile, the Nintendo eShop is becoming unusable due to Nintendo approving AI slop games in mass.

I guess I could play the pc port on the crt as well, but only if there is a way to run the game in stretched 4:3 like there is on emulator. My HDMI to composite adapter is weird and just assumes it is taking in a 16:9 signal even if it isn't, so I have to stretch out 4:3 and then squish it down again.
Alright, it looks like I'll be playing FF9 then! I am going to get my fill of Kirby first and then probably finish up all the Silent Hill f endings, but I don't have anything else to play until February with RE8 so this should fit in nicely.
I'm debating between emulating it on my downstairs pc so I can hook it up to my crt, and playing the pc port on my upstairs pc with all the bells and whistles. It mostly comes down to the modding capability I'm looking for.
mainly post about music and games, and share art from artists i like.
obviously i don't condone any sort of abuse/exploitation irl, go fuck yourself.
