found the source of the memory leak btw, but it is from a plugin with obfuscated code so i just have to hope and pray that the author gets back to me. the only method they have is discord too which kinda sucks, hopefully they check it because they haven't posted in the rpgmakerweb server since 2020.

worst case, i know of another way i can do what the plugin does. it's just not going to look as cool. rather take that than a memory leak crash though.

i remember this animated music video for Paint It Black someone did YEARS ago. it was highly stylized, using pretty much only red and black colors the entire time. i wanna say i saw it on one of those flash websites originally, but i can't find it on newgrounds.

So the paper Mario ttyd remake has poor translation, had weird pre-order cancelation issues, and only runs at 30fps. Nintendo getting more cooked with each game release honestly. The original was 60fps. Just emulate that shit with an HD texture pack instead. No amount of visual upgrades are worth making a game run worse than it used to, especially if said game has an entire mechanic focused on timing button presses.
