Chrono Trigger is such a conflicting game for me. I really do not like the gameplay itself. Well, not so much that I don't like it, more that I just couldn't get into it at all. However, the story, the art, and the audio are all so good. Not even just for the time, but period. I like the *experience* of Chrono Trigger more than the *game* Chrono Trigger, if that makes sense.

ubisoft are comment (and probably like) botting the latest assassin's creed shadows trailer lmao

The Metal: Hellsinger soundtrack is amazing if you're into metal. Apparently it's not available for purchase/streaming anywhere because there are so many artists involved that the rights issues get wonky, so piracy it is! :blobpirate: I own the game, I should at least be able to listen to the soundtrack whenever I want.

The new Assassin's Creed Shadows trailer has Chinese vibes to me. Anyone else? I know some Japanese people have commented on the game saying that some of the architecture and flora is Chinese, or that the mix of those two things are from wildly different places in Japan, so that could be what's causing those vibes.

i think most AAA game studio executives would fail the turing test

"Metal: Hellsinger" Review (8.5/10)

Although Metal: Hellsinger isn't mechanically deep enough to satisfy either an FPS gamer or a rhythm gamer, if you like BOTH genres you'll really have a fun time playing it. The music is stellar, the movement is smooth, and the action is fun. When you're on beat, the flow state is incredible. If you don't like both genres, there's a good chance you won't be super into this one.

Difficulty is pretty well balanced, although for the most part there aren't any enemy remixes like you'd find in something like Devil May Cry. Usually, the enemies are just a little bit stronger and do a little bit more damage, but honestly the difference between the easiest and the hardest (unlockable) difficulty isn't very big.

The story isn't anything to write home about, but it's not bad. It takes a bit more of a back seat compared to the gameplay and I think that's probably the right choice. It's good that it's there, but it's not the main selling point.

One major point of criticism I have with the game is that the boss fight for each level (which are called Hells) is the exact design and requires the exact same strategy to beat. The only difference is the projectiles that are thrown at you and what types of minions the boss spawns. The final boss is quite different, but that's really it. I wish they would have put a little bit more effort in making each boss fight a bit more unique, with different designs and strategies on how to overcome them. Maybe even every other level having a unique boss would have been fine, but it does get pretty samey after the third time fighting the same boss.

The final boss music, featuring Serj Tankian of System of a Down renown, is also just not really that great. You play through the whole game listening to these awesome screaming and growling vocals, and then the final boss music which should be the most hardcore of them all is Serj doing his thing, being super weird, which is normally fine but here it just does not work at all.

Other than those two points though, I really enjoyed the game! Enough to get all of the achievements, in fact, which can't be said of many games for me. You can easily get that done under 7 hours, so the game isn't particularly long either, but you'll have a lot of fun playing it if you like rhythm and FPS games, particularly DOOM 2016/Eternal.

Random cool memory

The middle school I went to in 7th grade had a band teacher that would bring out Rock Band every Friday during lunch and you could play it for 10 raffle tickets (which you earned by teachers giving them to you for doing good stuff). I was always trying my hardest to get those raffle tickets so I could play Rock Band every Friday lol.

At the end of the school year, I actually ended up being the one with the most amount of raffle tickets just because of how much I wanted to play Rock Band xD I had the game at home but I thought it was so fun to be able to play it at school too. What a legendary band teacher, seriously. Legendary school for letting him do that, too. Could never have shit like that at school these days.

oh shit, annapurna exploded. i wonder what this means for silent hill townfall, that was one i was actually really interested in.

Am I wrong for thinking it's super unprofessional to ask for a girl's number while I'm at work? Like, a customer's number. Every now and then a girl comes through that I want to ask but that seems really weird to me.

@PurpCat @Terry A scam I've seen Mexicans do is exploiting 15 minute insurance policies. My dad was hit by an illegal who didn't have insurance at the time, but got it by the time the cop showed up. Since he had insurance, the cop didn't do anything, but because it went active after the accident, they refused to cover the damage.
