The whole premise of the kabbalah is heresy, but I digress.

The general idea is that divinity has split into two, the masculine in the heavens, and the feminine in the earth.
Fixing the world means bringing the two halves of divinity together.
How would jews accomplish this?
By doing good deeds... no one would object to this, but you know what's coming, don't you?
While good deeds contribute to "fixing the world", the two halves of the divinity will not reunite until all of mankind are jewish.

So the bottom line is: Jews want you to convert or die.
Tikun olam is the jewish equivalent of jihad, just more subversive.
