@s2208 @ree of course this won't apply to mudslimes and niggers since the laws never applied to them to begin with

@coded_artist
Actually, switching the software generation makes a perfect sense, but you have to also understand, that the issue is not with the students, but with teachers. People get out of the school, where teachers know the "industry standart", but they are placed to a room with blender. They will be useless for a few years. Or, god forbid, they expected 2d drawing, only to be placed in front of Blender.

But, after a decade or two, even a boomer can notice the change and learn to use the new tools, so now new hires know what they will be working with again.

Just a thought:

In the early 2000's, in Metropolis (2001) movie, Planetes (2003) series, and others, anime was able to incorporate 3D into 2D scenes smoothly.

Then, for no apparent reason, came over a decade of choppy 3D animation, from Kemono Friends to Berserk remake, Dorohedoro, etc...

Finally, this decade, Demon Slayer (2024) comes out with smooth 3D animation again.
(Not recommended BTW, the animation is good, but the story is mediocre)

What the hell happened in the 2010's?

Mauling it over with a friend, the best I could find was Blender.
3D software was either not as good, or too expensive, and there was a generation of animators who didn't know how to use it well as a result, at least in the anime industry.
Then Blender rose to prominence around 2019.

As good a reason as any, but I'm not 100% convinced.
