In the latest UK government "Fuck you": not one person voted for digital ID in 2024, some three million people voted against it in 2025 and yet the labour government is moving ahead with it anyway.
This unwanted, multi-billion pound invasion of privacy is being forced on us in the name of "ease of access", presumably because they have lost the argument with the "tackling illegal immigration" snake oil they initially sold it as.
The challenge in accessing government services is not in the act of identifying yourself, as the public already have means of doing so. The challenge comes in that these services are massively overloaded and have no availability. It doesn't matter how I identify myself, I can't book a doctor's appointment on the NHS because my local clinic is booked solid for the next calendar month and are not even giving me the option any more. I can't talk to a doctor if I'm feeling ill because by the time I see one, I'll either be better or dead.
This "extra convenience" of a mandated phone app comes at the expense of ruling out every other line of access on any other type of device, or indeed no device at all. Digital ID was being pushed forward under false pretences from the word go and will provide no tangible benefit to the public. It is a massive, crooss-government data store that will be abused by future governments, if implemented.

The New Flesh Review (8.5/10)
Pretty solid walking simulator that focuses on Red Vox's music. It has some AWESOME imagery and of course the music is top notch. I do wish that they toned it down with the funny stuff for all the secrets because it kind of took away from the core experience for me, but I did get 100% and I was not prepared at all for what was waiting for me at the end lol.
It's free, and it took me about 3 hours to 100% but only like 30 minutes or so for a single playthrough. I'd recommend it!
I draw, code, and make memes sometimes.
