iguess there are several use cases
- A lot of people do not want to read and isntead focus on the action
- People who read too slow to keep up with subs
- People with bad eyesight

I recall reading a manga about girls being trapped in time. days are put on a loop and they are experiencing the same day over and over. the story happened in a city that is always raining and gloomy. it has a really aesthetic art style and the author has been great at creating a depressing atmosphere.
