@matrix top left needs something different imo, it's clear that the goal is to just seize such companies
@matrix Nah, you want to nationalize them because they're the largest companies, like the tendency towards these massive monopolies is seemed as intrinsic to capital and not something that can be fixed at a local level, yeah it's nice when you help people at smaller shops by buying from them but not enough people are going to do it so you want systemic change by getting rid of the predatory monopoly by putting such companies in public ownership. In theory of course.
@orekix @matrix so they normally rail against the big corps because they're private, but secretly help them grow so they become monopolies and seizing them is two birds one stone.
@cereal @matrix it's not railing against big corps and secretly doing other stuff, the tendency towards monopoly is expected to happen as a result of capitalism relying on extracting surplus value, the central point relies on the labor theory of value, as opposed to the marginalist's subjective theory of value

basically you want these corporations to be owned by workers themselves so you get the full reward of your labour
@orekix @matrix and now let's turn to reality where we haven't met our quota of shoelaces for this year.
@cereal @matrix I think Hayek and Mises had a point in the problem of calculating all this stuff, I think supercomputers would have the solution to that today.

@orekix
Even if they are, which I don't because a supercomputer told me it isn't going to rain today and it's raining, I don't think it's desirable because it would enforce the power of the people who have access to it and help them prevent creative destruction.
@cereal

@matrix @cereal

I think creativity is already hampered by the current state of affairs, just look at mainstream music or how every company copies the stuff of others for the tiniest of differences, this sort of rushed competition produces generalized mediocrity.

@orekix
Well yes, but that doesn't mean computer planning would help.
@cereal

@matrix Some ancaps believe that if enough people collect welfare money while avoiding taxes, it will help the state collapse.
