@matrix they dont do anything anyway.

Witness shoplifting and reselling of stolen goods in the street? Only owner can call the cops and it must exceed $1000 in value to be actionable.

See someone smoking crack in front of a Starbucks? 3grams or less of any narcotic is allowed. No arrest they dont even get told to leave

They just break up fights and respond to murders but most people arrested are released within 24 hours

@dielan
Who wrote that? What sort of cuckery is that? $1000 is a ridiculously high amount.

@matrix no idea that's what Seattle PD told me in person
@matrix so if someone breaks into your car the cops will visit you and make sure you're not injured but they take no action. Even if they catch the person in the act the most they would do is arrest them and release them same day

@dielan
So I guess it's similar like in New York where a guy got arrested like 50 times for breaking and entering, but always let go.

@matrix @dielan In my home town in the early 1900s there was a guy who kept committing crimes, until finally he raped a girl and a group of men got together and lynched him by tying him up with rope and throwing him in the river. This is what eventually happens if justice does not happen.
@matrix @dielan I'm not saying it's good, but kind of like things that are happening right now, you can't stop people when they're fed up.

@Moon@shitposter.club @matrix@gameliberty.club @dielan@shitposter.club The government creating leanent laws will cause people to either defend themselves or seek out vigilante justice. I understand some leniency but they've pushed it to the absurd and the backlash will be bad.

@shadowferret @dielan @matrix @Moon laws are for the weak. The ones with power will get away eventually.

@GNUxeava@fedi.absturztau.be @dielan@shitposter.club @matrix@gameliberty.club @Moon@shitposter.club lol, Laws are also for keeping people from switching to an Omerta style system where you have to seek vengeance for yourself. It's great in theory but you could just as easily start a generational feud and an unnecessary amount of deaths.

@shadowferret This is the one thing the Defund boosters don't get. Laws and cops, and the overall facade of a justice system, don't exist to protect normals from them; they exist to protect them from normals who've had it with their bullshit. There are few things quite as hilarious as a loose rabble of soft, spoiled children who've never met actual adversity and yet call for #Resistance and #Revolution, as they've deluded themselves into genuinely believing they'll win Thunderdome.
@dielan @matrix @Moon
@dielan @matrix That's best case. Worst case you see active lashing out by officers.

You don't starve a poorly trained dog.
@matrix @dielan The government doesn't give a flying fuck about property damage or property rights, and is more than happy to turn a blind eye towards petty criminals destroying the blood, sweat, and tears of honest entrepreneurs. They will enforce drug laws because asset forfeiture allows them to personally profit, and a similar principle applies to writing traffic tickets, but when it comes to basic justice they really just don't give a shit.

@ArdanianRight @matrix @dielan That's because so many cities make their income off of fining and arresting people because their budget is out of wack. A nearby town of mine has really low speed limits and cops hiding behind the trees because it's the only way their council can make money.
