Singapore has a law where if you advocate for class or race warfare (ie communism or BLM) you can get arrested for sedition.
Which goes against my principles such as wanting free speech. But unfortunately I can't afford to have principles when it comes to fighting for freedom.
Yeah in that case its like they are free to choose what to do with their own life. In this case they are choosing to not work or gain resources.
The issue is that then they don't like the consequences of their actions that they themselves chose.
So most people hate freedom because it means that only themselves are to blame for any consequences that happen
But I agree its a buzzword and I absolutely hate word games and vague (motte and bailey) definitions.
Freedom from responsibility is called being a woman or child.
The only way to achieve that as a man is to either find a gay sugar daddy willing to subsidise you no matter what. Or vote for a paternalist totalitarian government and hope that they will continue to pay for all your bad choices without just using all that power to enslave you like it has had to do in order to get the money required to pay to fix any bad decisions
@matrix banning expressions of what don't amount to any kind of logical or empirical point but are instead "we should violate your rights" basically amounts to banning someone from saying "I am going to kill you" or "we should collectively come together to kill you".
Rights don't exist anyway. Whatever benefits your people as a whole is overall good.
@matrix
The tolerance paradox.
Can freedom to talk about 1 topic be sacreficed, in order to protect MANY MANY other freedoms?
@LukeAlmighty @matrix Give these commies freedom as in a free helicopter ride.
