@miria @tsukiko@freak.university You are asking me to prove 2+2=4
@applejack @miria @tsukiko@freak.university I have doubts about that. At least in the west. Yeah people married sooner or had symbolic marriages for purposes of wealth and power transfers, but I don't think that adults fucking preteens was common. The couple from Sneedsville made headlines meaning it was something you don't see every day.

Because it was late 19th, when it was shifting
This Roman/Greek one even explicitly says they married at 12 for procreation
They menstruate at 12 for a reason

@applejack @miria @tsukiko@freak.university This does not mention the age of both partners if I'm reading right. I'm pretty sure puberty was considered marrying age of both boys and girls. Teens marrying is much more different than an adult marrying a preteen.

>Teens marrying is much more different than an adult marrying a preteen
12 is pedophilic under modern definitions, so it includes kids aswell as teens
If a teen/LG can get married and be a mother, what sort of mechanism prevents them from being the same thing when the husband is older? Why does the brain switch into trauma mode?
@applejack @miria @tsukiko@freak.university
Being older usually gives people a higher amount of authority, which is something that can be abused. If you have both teens, they usually have similar amount of knowledge and experience with relationships and sex, but if you have an adult and a teen, the adult usually has more knowledge and experience so that they can impose themselves on them.
Teen pregnancy is still wrong though.
@applejack @miria @tsukiko@freak.university Biological parents have a big incentive to not abuse their children and mothers even experience a chemical reaction bonding them to the child so no.
@applejack
No. I mean that parents have an incentive to raise a healthy offspring so they carry their genes and that mother's after birth experience a huge hormone surge.
@miria @tsukiko@freak.university
@applejack
Partner to share life with? Mother of your children? I don't understand why are you asking this question?
@miria @tsukiko@freak.university
@matrix @miria @tsukiko@freak.university You gain children, the thing you were just talking about
