@matrix Don't know if actual clickbait or parody of those clickbaits

THOSE clickbaits were always ultra shit and a lot of the times the article had nothing to do with whatever the clickbait was

@coolboymew @matrix the only time I ever clicked on one of these click bait articles was one where a dude got run over by a train or something, I was curious enough to click it but then pussied out of watching it because I was like 10.

Somewhere, I heard, that 0.07 percent of ads get clicked.

And my first thought was: how many of them are mis-clicks?

@LukeAlmighty @coolboymew @matrix even when I was a kid I knew not to click on ads. I don't really know who taught me that but I just saw the "you are the 1,000,000 visitor to this website!" with flashing lights and always knew that kind of stuff was bullshit lol. I have actually never had a virus on any device that I didn't install on purpose. Never installed any of those wacky free cursors.

Meanwhile my dad got scammed by "tech support" even though his whole business is SEO lol. Sucks to suck.

@beardalaxy @matrix I got curious about that particular brand of clickbait at some point and investigated it for the heck of it

-Most of these are the "story" but outright exaggerated so you're disappointed every time
-Sexy picture that isn't in the article at all
-Or outright something completely irrelevant

Honestly, not sure if these are even viable in the long run, because someone just gotta start learning that this is shit, right?
