@matrix worshipping God isnt like loving a wife, your point is on the level of the average 16 year old redditor

@yangwenli
>not worshipping your wife as a god
smh, not very feminist of you

@yangwenli @matrix @Moon
even Catholic church says sex is great (as long as it's between a man and a women for the sole purpose of procreation) (you don't need to be married)
@kaia @matrix @Moon sex is hedonism and should be done for procreation you coomer
@yangwenli @kaia @matrix strictly speaking the Catholic Church is okay with sex for pleasure as long as it's also for procreation.
@nerthos @kaia @matrix @Moon @ageha nobody can say she didnt have a filfilling life. So many children to be proud of
@yangwenli @kaia @matrix @Moon @nerthos
dying in her 30s while they're all going through highschool

and when they live (like my mother, who only had 6 kids) it's at least hysterectomy and heart problems and a mixed bag of other things (diabetes? autoimmunity?
@ageha @kaia @yangwenli @matrix @Moon I genuinely believe your metric for health standards is off the mark. Most of the women with 5+ kids I know (most of them from my grandparents' or my parents' generations) didn't have any health complications until their 50s-60s, except a few who had accident-related health issues like a bad hip from a motorcycle crash.

Perhaps the people in your area have atrocious health or congenital problems.
@nerthos @kaia @yangwenli @matrix @Moon
depends heavily on the quality of medical care, and that's getting worse over time for us people at least
@ageha @kaia @yangwenli @matrix @Moon A lot of the people I'm talking about lived in rural or underdeveloped areas between the 20s and 70s, so there was little medical care past dentists and emergency medicine in their youth. By today's medical standards, they were basically on their own.
I'm pretty sure their health was owed mostly to not having any serious congenital issues and leading a somewhat physically active life.
@ageha @Moon @kaia @matrix @yangwenli The biggest factor I can think of for pregnancy-related long term health decline is terrible nutrition during pregnancy. On that front I don't have any information regarding your demographic, since I don't know where you're from or anything like that.
Bad nutrition during pregnancy can lead to decalcification of bones and teeth, anemia, drastic loss of muscle tissue, organ damage, and a whole bunch of conditions that basically come down to starvation under stress. But that's more irresponsibility or idiocy on the part of the couple than ill will or malice.
@Moon @ageha @kaia @matrix @yangwenli Anecdotal: one of my grandmother's aunts had 21 kids and lived to around 70, my grandma is 81 now so this was early to mid XX century.
@yangwenli @kaia @matrix @Moon @ageha She was admittedly a slut, according to her family members, but she sure was fertile.

@nerthos @kaia @yangwenli @Moon @ageha How many of those kids were her husband's though?

@matrix @kaia @yangwenli @Moon @ageha I have no idea, I didn't meet her, since she was from the generation before my grandma.
