@druid
Maybe he bought shit bikes that lost value really quickly
@kaniini as a cock.li user, I disagree that's what it is, but ok.
The core of the point is that it seems he's not actually done anything against any CoC, the organisers have let them travel there and then arbitrarily decided "we don't like you so you can't come in".
This kind of arbitrary decision undermines the rules, because it makes clear they're mostly just there to appease people who want rules, but it's ultimately down to the whims of people who are there liking you or not, for *whatever* reason that may be, and it may be opaque.
I don't want to go to events where I don't feel safe, even if I'm following the rules, just because someone doesn't like how I run, for example, freenode, or my day job. The "whatever" above is also really dangerous, because once we tolerate the whims of organisers, the need to justify those whims becomes less and you end up kicking people out for silly (at best) and discriminatory (at worst) reasons.
@alyx
Yeah. They definitely do, but I think that the effect is basically zero. The bigger danger is something catching on fire or someone blowing their hand off.
@Antanicus
Ever heard of a thing called demand?
@VD15
I'm highly skeptical of that, but I will be really happy if I'm wrong.

I'm the joke, but you're the punchline.
I run this website. I like posting funnies and fugging lolis.
