is "banning tiktok" going to be the thing that "activates young people"? It just confirms tiktok users are addicts.
The Pixel 6(pro) and 7(pro) have a security vulnerability in the baseband that allows for remote code execution at the baseband level.

Google has already released a fix for the pixel 7 and 7 pro but not for the 6 or 6 pro yet.

Google said to mitigate the vulnerability for the time being to disable Wi-Fi calling and VoLTE.

The issue is, Google removed the ability to disable VoLTE a year or two ago.

Additionally, even if I were to disable VoLTE then I would not be able to use my phone as a phone because the US doesn't have any 2G or 3G live anymore so VoLTE and VoNR are the only ways to make calls these days and I don't have 5G in my city so VoNR isn't an option.

Apparently all that's required to pull off privileged remote code execution is to know the target's phone number :lain_stress:

@Moon @mangeurdenuage I definitely recommend it. 1 and 2 are amazing games and Infinite is fun too.
Good luck though, the remaster of 1 and 2 isn't very stable.

@sjw @dcc @splitshockvirus Can they even fix it in software or do I have to keep VoLTE off forever?

@Moon @mangeurdenuage Yes, but it also says that about extremism in general and it also weaves itself nicely into a narrative about free-will and a meta-narrative of doing that in a videogame.

It also dunks on communism in 2 and racial identitarianism and revolution in Infinite. Leftists loathe Infinite for that.
