@teto mine got ditched by her military husband after having my mom and spend several years trying to find a guy who would accept a single mother and the guy that did is this meme

@teto that was most people in the past. my grandpa was a cooper.
However the remainder of the family were farmers with land.

@teto it's fully understandable they can't speak english since they weren't taught at school. mine can't speak it either much. communism delayed teaching of it by basically 40 years.

@teto skill issue imo, my parents could speak russian very well when they were my age and still could get around when they visited russia (although they forgot a lot due to not using it).
english only started getting seriously taught here in the late 00s and just schools teaching it isn't enough, you need parents and siblings good at the language for it to stick. sweden has almost everyone bilingual since they've been teaching it for decades and the tiny iq difference doesn't doesn't explain such a drastic difference.

@teto skill issue imho, english has fairly easy spelling and i mostly learned by listening too.
autocorrect is bad, i forgot a lot of spellings for both czech and english due to using autocorrect.

@teto vietnamese doesn't have many homophones and it still didn't translate fully

I think I got kana down. Now just continuous training so I don't read at the speed of a retarded 1st grader.
And now the fun part begins, grammar, kanji and vocab :Aware:
