badkeys is an open source tool to check cryptographic keys for known vulnerabilities. Its developer @hanno gave a talk at German OWASP Day where he discussed how old bugs never die. He tested for the Debian OpenSSL bug discovered in 2008 & found hundreds of DKIM setups still vulnerable. Vulnerable hosts included prominent names like Cisco, Oracle, Skype, and Github. But he sees even older vulns including one which is over 300 years old.

Heads up for postmarketOS edge users: doas-sudo-shim now needs to be explicitly installed: https://postmarketos.org/edge/2024/12/01/APK-conflict-between-sudo-and-doas-sudo-shim/
Run "doas apk add doas-sudo-shim" to do that. If you didn't run that command it will be uninstalled when upgrading your postmarketOS edge. You can still do it afterwards too.

Over the past few years, many people have unfortunately become more dependent on streaming media. But it's important to remember how streaming services can deprive you of important rights. Dis-services like Disney+ and Netflix mandate the use of a hardware-level backdoor called Widevine, giving them permanent access into deep components of your machine. Try video sites like the Blender Open Movies project instead.
I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
