Anybody who uses iOS shouldn't really care as privacy was never their chief concern.

For any owners of the FuriLabs FLX1 looking for a case I found one for myself. It was cheap, seems high quality, the buttons all work when the phone is in it, the camera isn't obstructed, and the phone is easy to install and take out. In theory any case made for the Gigaset GX6 should work but I am only vouching for this one because I tried it. Looking forward to having options on FuriLabs official store soon. In the mean time this will do the trick just fine.

According to Liberapay they processed over $1 million in donations in 2024 from 1535 donors hailing from 56 countries. If you haven't heard of them Liberapay is a FOSS donations platform. If you use any FOSS project I would check and see if they use Liberapay for donations or if any of their contributors do.

Their main website is here:

liberapay.com/

Their source code is hosted on Github:

github.com/liberapay

They have a presence on Mastodon:

mastodon.xyz/@ Liberapay

If you wish to help them financially they accept donations through the Liberapay platform:

I think I may give this guide a try when I have time. I was annoyed that you had to manually partition disks during install unlike 98% of other distros but I liked a lot of things about Void otherwise.

I installed void linux on a ThinkPad T420 laptop today using this guide by "Jake@Linux":

https://jpedmedia.com/tutorials/installations/void_install/index.html

Had to go through it twice, due to my ThinkPad BIOS being set to boot to "legacy first" instead of "UEFI only", so the first time I booted the Void USB it booted in Legacy mode and I was not aware of it.

Learned quite a bit and was successful in the end.

Super minimal. I did install the cwm Window Manager and created the .Xauthority and .xinitrc files with enough to get x11 to start with startx and get into the graphical environment.

I haven't imported my cwm config or other files yet. Another day.
