FOSS game manager "Minigalaxy" has been updated to version 1.3.2. This update reworks the windows wine installation process, various bug fixes, allows game settings to contain blanks when quoted shell-style, and more. Minigalaxy is a manager for your GOG account which allows you to install your games from those servers, as well as allow you to run the game with Mangohud and Wine. The code is licensed using GPLv3.0. Minigalaxy is available in various distro repos as well as it being available as a Flatpak.

The main website for the project is here:

The source code is available on Github:

Codeweavers is hiring a General Wine Developer to work on Proton and Wine support. If you are interested and have the skills i'll link below the job posting. Codeweavers is the company behind the CrossOver program which helps to run Windows programs on Linux and Mac. They also do a lot of work with Wine itself as well with Valve on Proton.

This week's donation went to the Solus Linux distro. Not only is it a good Linux distro but the project also contributes to the Brisk Menu which is my favorite menu to use by far. Solus is an independent distro meaning that it isn't based on any other distro. You can download editions that ship with Budgie, Gnome, XFCE, and Plasma as well as install i3 or Mate afterwards. Solus is a curated rolling release which means that they won't have things that are bleeding edge but will be only a couple weeks behind usually. Solus uses SystemD as it's sole init option. During install you get the choice between BTRFS, Ext4, and F2FS for file systems. Overall it has a fair bit of user choice as well as having a fantastic repository that had more of my program needs than any other distro did.

The Project's official website is here:

The project's source code can be found on Github:

Solus does have a Presence on Mastodon:

If you wish to help the project financially they accept donations through Open Collective:

I may hate the company behind Github and some of it's practices but man do I find Gitlab to be a chore to navigate and use in comparison. Just feels less intuitive in pretty much every way.

🤔 It’s another year of infrastructure reviews, and we like to see where AlmaLinux users are spending their time.

For your infrastructure, are you using cloud, on-prem, or some combination thereof?

As there's often the question how to move the cursor when using phosh-osk-stub as OSK: Here's a short demo. If you *really* want additional cursor *keys* one can add them as keys to the terminal layout's shortcut bar via

gsettings set sm.puri.phosh.osk.Terminal shortcuts "[<yourothershortcuts>, 'Up', 'Down', 'Left', 'Right']"

too.

Hi everyone! We wanted to provide a little clarification on the answer to this question. Someone kindly pointed out that I Love Free Software Day was first celebrated in 2010 without the label that we now know. It wasn't until 2012 that this holiday was labeled as I Love Free Software Day.

We're so sorry for the error in the original question and answer, and really appreciate kind individuals reaching out to let us know of these kinds of errors.

This looks like some weird custom license. I would have liked it a lot more had they used GPLv3 or even MIT at the minimum.
