It has no package manager and uses App Images instead although you can also use Flatpaks and setup other programs if need be. Nitrux uses OpenRC for it's init system, the Liquorix Kernel, and uses the EXT4 file system. It uses the It's a unique distro that is worth a look.

Is there anything special one has to do in order to use BTRFS on Nitrux ? I have two hard drives in my system as data drives that had been formatted with BTRFS and worked on my previous distros but on Nitrux it just says it can't open them. I can mount them but not access the files.

GhostBSD has released version 24.07.3. It's an OS out of Canada that is based on FreeBSD but put's it's own spin on things such as having the Mate desktop preinstalled and having a GUI installer among other things. This release fixes three bugs, fixes two security issues, adds hgame to kld_listadds, and more. The code is licensed using the BSD-3-Clause license. If you're looking to leave Windows or Mac OS for a more privacy and security friendly operating system then I can easily recommend GhostBSD.

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
