Too Bad, So Sad...We ought not to dumb down our children, but raise them up to higher standards.

Two of the four Venezuelan scumbags arrested in Colorado are brothers, with first names of Dixon and Nixon.
Anyone else find that weird??

We're two weeks away from #SoftwareFreedomDay2024. Be sure to check for events in your area: digitalfreedoms.org/en/sfd/eve If there are no local events, join our #SFD mailing list and ask about ways to celebrate virtually. #OpenSource #FreeSoftware #FLOSS #SoftwareFreedomDay

Anyone using #GPT4All? It's #FOSS software allowing to run Large Language Models on consumer hardware, maintaining privacy as it's running locally.

Apparently you can download lot's and lot's of different models, but is it all worth the hassle (searching, selecting, etc)?

This week's donation went to EndeavourOS. I'ts an Arch based Linux distro. EndeavourOS is available for x86_64 as well as a few ARM64 devices. EndeavourOS uses the Calamares installer. It uses SystemD for the init system. If you choose the online installer then you get a choice of eight desktop environments or five window managers. You also get a choice between Grub, SystemD-Boot, or no bootloader for the x86_64 version. You can also choose between BTRFS and EXT4 for filesystems. All in all you get a lot of user choice during install outside of the sole init system option.

The main website for EndeavourOS is here:

endeavouros.com/

The page for the ARM device downlaods is here:

The source code is available on Github:

The project has a forum as well as a presence on the Fediverse and Matrix:

Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer and the team "made this very difficult decision" to produce a product with mRNA technology. But when the time came, he delayed because he didn't want to "cut the line".

He first ridiculed anyone that might hesitate taking it in September 2020. Then when the time came in December that same year, he didn't want to "cut the line". Finally the truth drops in March '22 that "the mRNA was a technology that we had less experience [with]".

8 Sept 2020 - "Their decision [will effect] the lives of others [and] if they don't vaccinate they will become the weak link that will allow this virus to replicate"
14 Dec 2020: Doesn't want to "cut the line".
15 Dec 2020: Doesn't want to "cut the cue".
March 2022:"The mRNA was the technology that we had less experience [with and] mRNA was a technology that never delivered a single product".

Was Pfizer's experience with mRNA the reason he was "hesitant" given its experimental nature?
