- Out of 8,000+ users I've witnessed about 2 who genuinely hate trans people. There are a number of trans users on the site (transsexuals, mostly) who want more freedom to have the full conversation about gender.
- The discussion happening on Spinster right now is about porn being linked to sex trafficking, which is a horrible reason to hate it.
@tuxcrafting @alex @Meeper @nik Yeah that’s not my experience with it. So many posts I saw were talking about “men invading womens spaces”. Nah, its a pretty terrible place.
However, I’m pleased that Alex runs the site (because its funny that a man runs the feminist site) and also that it contains them in a nice little box.

Never been a huge fan of #Spinster as a whole but I've found some nice users from there more recently. A big problem I'd run into would be the user I try to engage with is sexist and hates men; as soon as I replied to their messages, they'd accuse me of "mansplaining" and block me lol...far more people on that instance hate men than hate trans people
But again, that's not everyone, just my initial experience. My experience with the users is a bit better now.
Trans women ARE men. But nobody hates trans people as much as their supporters tell them they do 🤷🏼♀️

its super fucked how people are so dismissive trans people sometimes. using FACTS and LOGIC as a rhetorical tool instead of understanding anything. I think we have enough of a hold on the real politick in our strongholds though, so TERFs just need the containment instance until the memeplex brainwashes them with the rest. some fuckers are really resistive though.

It's fine for you to think you are whatever you think you are. It's also ok for people to disagree, and even disrespect, your self-assessment. Just like you're free to disrespect them back. It's all good. Just let's not start hitting each other IRL and other such retarded shit.
I largely agree with the sentiment.
But I can also be self-serving as the rest of humanity. We all concern ourselves *mostly* with the things we identify with. In my case I identify primarily as an "Angry Libertarian", "Militant Linux Zealot" and "Transsexual". So I argue mostly in those areas. In the case of being transsexual, a concern of mine is the rate of suicide and depression is extremely high. The single biggest factor in this is how transsexuals are treated -- the more accepted they are by the people around them the lower the rates of suicide and depression.
A lot of people just don't have the thick skin to weather it.
And so we have these hellthreads where I like to come in and say, "It's ok guys, let's chill." Because really, it's ok, we can chill.
Let's just agree that adults of any and all genders stay away from nude children after the children can take care of putting on clothes, and we're good.
I'm not hitting anyone I'm not very strong. I'm just trying to live my cutest life.
