This can and should happened without the gov't. You don't need the gov't to do every little thing. The bus company should have taken steps, but they didn't, and the blame should land with them.

Acting as if people or businesses are incapable of doing anything without daddy gov't is absurd.

@dave @shebang If he clearly was at risk, the transit system as a responsible employer should have sent him on a paid leave. The way these people - most in uniform and with an air of authority - operated dragging passengers off the bus is far from appropriate given the situation. As you probably also know, they immediately quit doing this as result. In general it is about how quickly peoples behavior can change because of fear. Or because they get the opportunity to act like little Nazi's.
