Better Things S02E02 & S02E03 General Spoilers

The narrative tone and style of these two episodes is quite unique. I like it.

I love how the second half of the episode shows a softer, gentler, positive side of parenting that was afraid to cover.

I still am wondering if Frankie is LGBT tho. I'm sure that will be shown in time, but the narrative isn't clear.

Better Things S02E02 Spoilers

This is a pretty complex plot right here. Sam is pretty hypocritical and completely inconsiderate, but that's nothing new for her. She complains about her boyfriend expecting a lot from her, but she expects a lot from him. He asks her basic questions, and she rages at her.

I wonder if she's only getting away with this because she's a woman.

But if she is, it's not in a preachy, SJW way, but a realistic way. When she raged at him, she says that men are supposed to be tough, but women are at the same time supposed to be delicate with their feelings, because in reality, they're no tougher emotionally than women. This is 100% true, but it's not an indictment on men, it's an indictment on society.

It's pretty clear that by dragging the relationship out, as Sam felt obligated to do, she hurt him more than if she broke up with him on the first night. People don't really understand that drawing stuff out like that inflicts pain until they get themselves into that situation. They end up breaking up with a ten minute long shouting match in a parking lot instead of briefly and calmly once the date is over.

@realcaseyrollins@gameliberty.club no, it hasn’t been fixed. I checked a couple times yesterday and today and for some reason I don’t see a Follow option.
