@shebang Yeah. I just listened to that rant.
I mean I like #TimPool but not everybody is independent like him...if I were independent and making independent I definitely would unmask myself and risk cancellation or whatever...but then again, I might have even done politics if it wasn't for fear of potential threats to my family. But I'm not.

Speaking out is something good to do if you can weather the backlash. If you don't have the mental health, or ability to lose your job, then speaking out isn't a good idea.
Tim Pool went on a rant about how people need to tell their bosses to fuck off, but he's nuts. Real people have bills, mortgages, people who depend on them, plans to buy a house maybe, car payments etc, things that require you to have a stable income.
If someone is depending on you, speaking out is highly risky and something that must be done with caution and care.

@shebang @rgx@muensterland.social Yeah they broke it when they updated it with code they didn't test before deployment...it broke a whole bunch of things, not just federation (most notably photo uploads), and while they could fix other things, they were like "let's just dump the #Fediverse, it's too hard and none of our users use it anyways"
