What's the #fediverse approved #selfhosted feed reader these days?
For some reason, #Feedly doesn't click conceptually with me so I don't use it. I'm looking for something with an Android app, if possible.
Most of my reading is in #Pocket but I know I should switch to #Wallabag. Perhaps the solution noted here is what I need: https://github.com/wallabag/wallabag/issues/3360

@eloquence This is interesting! I've wanted to start my own instance for awhile (currently working with @p on that) and I mean I'd have two funding goals:
1. It can raise enough money to pay for itself (covers its own costs)
2. It can raise enough buffer to start other federated or #FOSS sister services/projects
I mean it'd be cool to have a career out of running a #Fediverse instance running just off of the donations but I'm not seeing it as all that feasible rn...
Why Mastodon and the fediverse are “doomed to fail”
-> a small rant about how the profit lens distorts our understanding of success vs. failure:

Governors Reinstate Lockdowns To Combat Recovering Economy
Worried that the increase in jobs, prosperity, and happiness would hurt them in November, they reacted to the economic upturn quickly.

Very very sad. Tonight in 7,hours around the last 2 passed. No one from 5 survived. I spent all night trying to make them "survive" till 8am when I took them to the veterinary. "Calicivirus" was the diagnosis. Sad. #cat #cats #kitten #mastocats #catstodon #catsofmastodon #gatti #gatos #fediverse #social #mastodon #പൂച്ച #kot
Very sad. One of them didnt make it...
One died today. The smallest and less strong. I tried and tried to save him but no success. (They are the ones whom mother was killed by an idiot driver) #cat #cats #kitten #mastocats #catstodon #catsofmastodon #gatti #gatos #fediverse #social #mastodon #പൂച്ച #kot
Hmm...I'm checking my #Instagram, apparently #NFAC has started cropping up. Standing for Not...Fiddling...Around Coalition, it seems to be a black power militia focused on reparations and conquering states.
Have y'all seen any of this? What do you think?
Spotify has a new workout playlist tool, but I have questions https://bit.ly/3e9OM6i https://twitter.com/Gizmodo/status/1280885109026103302 #Tech
