@cy @realcaseyrollins There's a documentary called Mugabe and the White African (2009) which is a perfect example of how this happens.

Many of the farms in Zimbabwean had been run by English immigrants. Mugabe took those farms and gave them to the supporters who helped put him in power. Warlords didn't know a lot about running farms and things turned to shit.
