@TheMadPirate @p @r000t @realcaseyrollins @shebang Dude that retard on FSE that was convinced I was a fed, I took that as a compliment.

@l0wk3y @p @r000t @realcaseyrollins @shebang The good thing is that if you are fed, every one of your posts is technically speaking a fedpost.
Left discourse on fedi: "Responsability is fascism, dad!"
Right discourse on fedi: "... and this is why the Jews are the reason I don't have a trad asian gf"
Central unifying theme between the two: Projecting one's existential crisis onto society

@realcaseyrollins I'm interested in the development of small communities similar to how the internet was in the early aughts. Breaking things up while still having interoperability is the best method forward.
@roguetrick
I do love how these instances being run by people with small budgets and admin teams lets this happen. It gets too big, they cant handle the users and close registrations.
@Lainyboy@neckbeard.xyz
I'll make it there eventually
I do have a #Pleroma alt @realcaseyrollins@fedi.absturztau.be btw

I’m just a basic white guy. I know. And even I can’t IMAGINE a world in which I attack two cops, punch them in the face, steal their weapon and NOT get shot. #AtlantaShooting #RayshardBrooks https://twitter.com/scrowder/status/1271918203351023617 #Crowder #Shot

HAPPENING NOW: The Wendy’s where #RayshardBrooks was killed by Atlanta police has been set on fire. The restaurant is next door to a BP gas station & there is no sign of firefighters. https://twitter.com/Breaking911/status/1271997888562896896 #News #Breaking #Atlanta #Killed

@realcaseyrollins the purpose is to allow people to socialize imo.
Don't get me wrong, this platform is great, just wondering what would define success
What is the goal of the #Fediverse anyways?
A missing key to success for any social network is tons of advertising and I don't see any #Fediverse trying to get that
#Wired articles and some name drops in #Vergecast and #Timcast won't cut it
