>two minutes after JFK was shot, witnesses testified that they saw Lee Harvey Oswald calmly sipping a can of Coca-Cola on the second floor of the book depository
@shebang Yeah. I just listened to that rant.
I mean I like #TimPool but not everybody is independent like him...if I were independent and making independent I definitely would unmask myself and risk cancellation or whatever...but then again, I might have even done politics if it wasn't for fear of potential threats to my family. But I'm not.
@realcaseyrollins Nope.
Speaking out is something good to do if you can weather the backlash. If you don't have the mental health, or ability to lose your job, then speaking out isn't a good idea.
Tim Pool went on a rant about how people need to tell their bosses to fuck off, but he's nuts. Real people have bills, mortgages, people who depend on them, plans to buy a house maybe, car payments etc, things that require you to have a stable income.
If someone is depending on you, speaking out is highly risky and something that must be done with caution and care.

@Lainyboy@neckbeard.xyz I couldn't see him doing this. He's too much of a prude.
I could see him going out and getting arrested for trying to topple a demonic statue tho
@shebang @rgx@muensterland.social Yeah they broke it when they updated it with code they didn't test before deployment...it broke a whole bunch of things, not just federation (most notably photo uploads), and while they could fix other things, they were like "let's just dump the #Fediverse, it's too hard and none of our users use it anyways"
Buh but Fox told me AOC was scared to death of her Republican challenger!

I wonder if I am a coward for only speaking out online behind a mask of anonymity

@rgx@muensterland.social Very possible! I'm of the opinion that they are trying to fix federation behind the scenes
@lucy Everything is weird as fuck. Literally all of the things.
