IT'S. FUCKING. DONE.
I've finally completed the game. You can download it on my website. It's just a generic shmup. It's nothing special (it was made to practice enemy patterns among other things), but I think I learned a lot working on it.

>pressing the button every time i want to fire instead of it just being automatic gets really tiring!
Yeah. In hindsight, I should've made it automatic. I wanted to include power ups, so I made one a machine gun which is why it's not automatic. I don't usually play shmups but now I noticed that most of them have autofire by default. I was mainly inspired by Xevious because I grew up with one of those plug-n-play consoles that had classic Namco arcade games.
@coolboymew @beardalaxy @ItsSkyDragonz @Binkle I never played the NES version of Xevious. The plug-n-play system I had had all the original arcade versions. I think I actually wore down the fire button from pressing it too many times though.
@xianc78 @Binkle @coolboymew @ItsSkyDragonz that's what i figured, that you were going with a more classic feel. i also figured there was an auto machine gun powerup later on xD what you could do instead is make that power up just increase the fire rate :)
