@beardalaxy I prefer blurry N64 textures over the texture warping that the PS1 had, but that's just a preference.
I wonder if N64 homebrew developers can now take advantage of much larger ROM sizes and have decent textures along with things like FMV.

That's what I was talking about, but cartridge space limits that option. The blurry textures are from the limited space in the texture cache and the bilinear filtering which prevents it from looking pixelated.
