If Trump wins and doesn't abolish the income tax, I wonder if that will finally wake people up about (s)elections and finally get the masses to revolt.

The system will never destroy itself. Believe in such nonsense is like believe in fairy tales

@xianc78 I don't think that will happen. I think Trump will probably work to at least get taxes trimmed down though.

@beardalaxy Trump is making huge promises. I feel like it's either he's going to have to fulfill those promises or the masses are going to revolt.

COVID has already destroyed a lot of faith that people still had in government. I don't think that even the most diehard Trump supporters can tolerate any more broken promises.

@xianc78 @beardalaxy The difference between the 2017ish days of CVille, "district court" rulings, and the like is that the economy is now in the toilet, and migration and cultural erasure has accelerated. Oh, and due to certain events, now normies are noticing it more on their feed.

@PurpCat @beardalaxy
>migration and cultural erasure has accelerated

Yet, people don't realize that neither one of them is for open boarders nor closed boarders (at least in the absolute sense). I think even Trump is still on board with mass Indian immigration.

@xianc78 @beardalaxy I'm not even sure if Trump will >win given how "sus" elections are.

@PurpCat @beardalaxy Most of the "elections are scripted" conspiracy theorists believe that they are going to rig it for Trump, either to pacify people or because he will better support Israel.

@xianc78 @beardalaxy there's a lot that think it'll be for Kamala too after 2020
@xianc78 @beardalaxy Essentially what Trump has to do is dial back on immigration (even the minorities are noticing as in Chicago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7f0cVJ1rNs), and try to do some stuff to unfuck the economy/job market.

Will he do that or will he do what he did from 2016-2020 and be a pacifier? Because the thing is, being a pacifier won't work. His entire first term could be summed up with the words "monitoring the situation". He's gonna be boned harder than the media could if he tries the same shit.

What makes you think that? They were fine with:

no wall Mexico paid for
"take the guns first"
her not locked up
no swaps drained
no wars ended
no one tired of winning

🤷‍♀️

@nicholas @beardalaxy A lot of people were off the Trump train after COVID, I think if he fails to deliver his promises this time, it will be the final nail in the coffin for him and maybe the political system for the right.

@nicholas @beardalaxy I don't even know for sure what's going to happen. I do know that people are losing faith in both parties.

I see more and more people either focusing on state/local elections, or focusing on purely grassroots activism. More people are pulling their kids out of schools and homeschooling them. People who can afford it are living off-grid. There is a quiet revolution going on, even if the media isn't covering it. Maybe I'm a bit optimistic on it, but the government is sure noticing it and it's trying to bring people back into the two-party illusion. How it's going to work out, I don't know.

@xianc78 i just don't think people are going to revolt. people are gonna be mad but they aren't going to do anything about it, likely.

@xianc78 @beardalaxy it does seem he's learned from the last term who not to have by his side, but as always it's probably just going to be a speed bump to the current issues

@RK7 @xianc78 i was waiting for him to mention fauci in his joe rogan interview when they were talking about that and was pretty disappointed that he didn't. the covid stuff in general sort of got glossed over.

@beardalaxy @RK7 If you want to get a little schizo, maybe the Donald Trump in the Joe Rogan interview wasn't really him.

voxday.net/2024/10/26/fake-tru

@xianc78 @RK7 lol way too schizo for me. that joe rogan and alex jones picture is so obviously fake too lol.

@xianc78 @RK7 as far as appearing to be a similar height as trump when they're sitting, that's an insane hoop to jump through. trump could just have longer legs. or worse sitting posture.

@beardalaxy @RK7 I thought Trump is known to sit up straight most of the time. I kind of sit in the same position Trump usually sits when there is no desk in front of me. I even make that same "hand triangle" near my crotch just like him. I had a nurse point that out to me once.

Maybe he had to bend down slightly for the desk mic. I noticed that nobody was wearing headphones, but it's been a while since I've watched Joe Rogan.

@beardalaxy @RK7 @xianc78 Rogan is too nice to ask any hard questions or challenge Trump's half-baked answers. He's a terrible interviewer but an apparent godsend relative to network television which keeps the bar so otherwise unfathomably low

@ryan @xianc78 @RK7 there wasn't anything particularly invigorating about the interview in my opinion, but it did actually seem like just two people talking to each other. it was still refreshing.

i think joe rogan said something along the lines of it not being an interview, just people talking to each other, and that's pretty much what it was.

@beardalaxy @ryan @RK7 He did bring up the JFK files and stuff relating to UFOs, but I don't know if I should believe him, especially the latter given that there have been talks about staging a fake alien invasion.
