Gun deaths are a tragedy, but if we banned guns a hundred years ago we would be a fascist country right now. None of those fancy things like lgbt rights or being able to speak your mind. The government would manage literally everything. The threat of violence is what allowed the progress you championed for to happen. And now you want our leverage gone, because you think it no longer benefits you? If only you knew how quickly the government would turn on us if revolution was off the table.
