@lain If people still believe that (s)elections are real and that politician's aren't puppets then they can believe anything.

@jeff @Pawlicker They need someone to go after now that Luke Smith is doing God knows what now.

During the debates over the ratification of the Constitution, Antifederalists repeatedly warned that the President would become like a king - and the worst kind of a king - an elected one.

@djsumdog @HunDriverWidow
signal certainly checks all boxes!

- guru type moxie

- who shittalks everything else, especially federated services

- signal actively works against 3rd party clients

- server side is running "some version"

- metadata handling is based on "trust us ™️"

- giant money black hole

- required phone number forever

@djsumdog @Electronwarrior I could see them being replaced by other CIA-fronts if the masses become more fed-up with them, only for the cycle to repeat, again.

@Hyolobrika There have been a number of cases, especially recently, where something was labeled "misinformation" and suppressed which later turned out to be true. You can't trust anyone with the power to censor speech, because they'll censor anything they don't like, whether it's true or not. Unfortunately this means enabling people to tell lies, but well, that's the price of also getting to hear the truth.

I'm wondering if you can do something similar but for source code. The only thing I can think of is to insert code comments that give the wrong description of what an algorithm does, but by doing that, you are doing a disservice to actual humans who read your code.

But I guess it doesn't really matter, because from what I am told and from my own experience using LLMs, they are actually performing even worse at writing code than they have been before. I still can't get them to write anything more complex than a Breakout clone and even then, the resulting code has some major bugs.

Money creation is an immaculate scam that puts nearly everyone into slavery. They can print enough money to make real goods unobtainable for anyone who is unwilling to sign a slave contract to buy them, then the slavery allows them to maintain value of the money they printed.

Anyone holding the appreciating asset is strongly dissuaded from selling it by vicious capital gains tax treatment - contrived by these same thieves.
