I just found out that there is an open-source implementation of A Link to The Past on PC.

@PhenomX6 @ArdainianRight @hachi @KonataWagner1066 I've actually tried to make a Link's Awakening ROM hack using nothing but a hex editor once. I only got so far as to change the text (it was all in ASCII) but even then, I could only make the lines the exact same size as the original dialog.

@PhenomX6 @ArdainianRight @hachi @KonataWagner1066 Master System uses Z80 Assembly and Assembly isn't required for ROM hacking if you aren't changing the actual programming.

@TheMadPirate @ArdainianRight @hachi That gives me some hope that this technocracy shit will fail, but they probably have plans to just distribute the AI to central servers for each city, only to have a main, global server for updates.
