OH update on the person(s) who were harrassing me on Facebook under pseudonyms like "Chris Watson", "Theadore Kovacs" amongst others, turns out to have been John Angell, and possibly his twin Jake Angell. They are part of a local family from the Bruce Peninsula who are known for shady business practices.
They had a traumatic upbringing, likely from some kind of dysfunctional parenting strategies that afflicted their family, possibly due to high urban density or living in suburban slums on the margins of society.

If you see them, send them some love and smiles, and wish them well on their journey. May they open their hearts to God and let the creator work through them to cleanse them of their pain and suffering, helping them be kind to themselves and others.

Probably should clarify that. Sprites are manually drawn by calling the sf::RenderWindow.draw() method. It's just that sprites automatically have a set position and you can only draw based on that.

@admin @ChristiJunior @KoopaTV His work on the original Phantasy Star was impressive. It's really sad given how most game programmers are now, relying on bloated engines for the most basic shit.

Got a camera to work. It's manual but if I plan to actually finish this game, I would probably have it scroll based on the player's position and movement. You can also see that there are tiles outside of the camera bounds. Those were left in by mistake.

SFML has a built in camera called sf::View. It's pretty weird. I'm used to having a 2D camera origin being at the top-left corner just like sprites, but the origin is actually in the center which is something I need to get used to.

I mean, it's kind of justified because it also has support for rotation and zooming (things I have never used). I'm just used to implementing my own camera system and just drawing sprites based off of their positions and the camera offsets, but that not an option here because sprites are automatically drawn based on their position (no manually drawing here).

@daphailwhale I didn't know that Sega CD emulation still hasn't been perfected.

@ArdainianRight @PraxisOfEvil A seastead doesn't have to be libertarian. It's meant for anyone to experiment with any ideology. It's only that right-libertarians are embracing it.

You can also colonize Bir Tawil (a region in Africa not claimed by any nation) and start a micronation there, but good luck trying to grow anything there.

@PhenomX6 I remember hearing that Putin has three years left to live due to some cancer. I don't know how true that is.

@PraxisOfEvil I would stay away from Ocean Builders, however because apparently, their "SeaPods" contains smart-home tech. Apparently it's all open source, so someone could check if the tech is spyware, but I rather not have that at all.

Arktide is making traditional floating homes, but they are still in the prototyping phase (they don't have full-scale models yet).
