If Meta is really working on a new ActivityPub-powered social network, I see it as a very positive signal overall--my personal feelings towards Meta notwithstanding. For one, it's validation for our entire ecosystem from the biggest player. It also tells me that they don't see themselves as strong enough to keep users locked inside their walled garden anymore. It means the tide is really turning for interoperable social media, and that's always been the goal.

Modern nintendo consoles: didnt use me in a year? Oopsie, bricked! Actually used the controller more than 5 minutes? Broken joystick. Had an impure thought in a 5 mile radius of the console? It is on fire now.

The DS: yeah im old as fuck and you dropped me down a flight of stairs but hey im good, just a scratch. Ripped off the top screen in a ragequit? You could still use me to play gba games

@PhenomX6 Even the sprites for the NES game have odd sprite sizes.

I do have a soft-spot for Midway. They use to host flash versions of their games on their website. I played Spy Hunter and Root Beer Tapper all the time as a kid.

>Trying to make a Spy Hunter clone because the previous project got too complex
>Use Spy Hunter's sprites as placeholders
>The sprites are in weird sizes (odd numbers)

This is going to get awkward.

@ResidentEvil I'm not an agorist. I just like the memes. They're useful in some situations though, but they aren't the #1 solution.

By the way, there's now a privacy condom for the Wayback Machine:

I want to create a bot account that scolds anyone who uploads .webp files.
