Well, at least ThinkPenguin seems to actually stick to their principles. They also let you choose whatever Linux distro you want pre-installed, unlike System76's two choices between Pop_OS and Ubuntu. They also accept crypto payments.

@wrongthink @system76 I actually decided to do an nslookup of System76's mail servers and I can safely say that at least they are not using Gmail, though I don't know what is this messagingengine.com.

I don't know how much it cost to actually maintain a server for a storefront like this, but honestly it doesn't seem surprising because they are slow to restock. I actually wanted to buy a laptop from them a couple years back because I think it would be better to use a computer that was actually built for Linux, but ALL of their laptops were out of stock, but that might have been due to a chip shortage from the scamdemic.

Oh you thought that was bad? I also found out that their site is hosted on AWS. They might as well just sell their computers on Amazon.

Finally fixed the collision detection (at least I hope). Turns out that recording the positions of the previous frame does actually work.
