Even Stallman has clarified that GPL doesn't exclude one from charging for the software, as long as the source code is provided to the user(!) under the GPL terms.
The interesting part; the user may be a company that could lose "something" by publishing the GPL'd source code, that they purchased from a developer. And the GPL'd code remains hidden from public, and possibly sold again.

@lanodan The NetSurf team said that they plan on adding support for dynamic changes to web pages. They want to be compatible with all web standards, even if they are still far off.

@lanodan People are still contributing to the repositories, but there hasn't been a release since 2020. It seems like they really need help with parsers and supporting more W3C standards. Their JS engine in particular is still barebones which is why it's disabled by default.
@lanodan I would help, but my knowledge on C and rendering web stuff is pretty limited. I would donate, but it seems like they don't even take donations.

I don't feel like that would change anything. That feels more like a glorified petition (which itself is just a glorified suggestion).
Wikipedia only gave The Free State Project as an example. Though personally I like the idea of having smaller jurisdictions where people can just move to a different location if they don't like the laws, culture, etc.

@lanodan That and a place to move to (if we are talking about geographical locations). That Wikipedia article mentions The Free State Project which encourages libertarians to move to a single location (New Hampshire) to make it move align with their principles. There are also a lot of various seasteading and micronation projects, but it seems like only right-libertarians are embracing them.
The Internet makes it somewhat easier to find like-minded people. If it's just in your local area, you could just pass out fliers or place ads on builtin boards and power lines. You'd be surprised to see how many people are like-minded they are just aren't bold enough to speak out.

This highlights a couple of problems with the whole notion of GPT-4 and other Large Language Models:
1. They literally know nothing. It's all word games. If you understand what a prime number is it might take you a few minutes to run through the possible factors on a calculator and get the right answer, or just program a computer to do it for you. GPT-4 is incapable of doing that.
2. They learn nothing. If someone keeps asking you if 17077 is prime (it is) you might remember the answer, maybe even write it down. GPT-4 is incapable of doing that as well.
