Another cultural/lifestyle rant that is probably going to piss people off
Okay, time for a follow up rant. I don't understand why dogs are sometimes loved and valued even more than humans. Though the only people who would openly admit to it are misanthropic, vegan leftists who support the VHEMT, but most dog lovers also fall into this category. Here are some points to consider:
* People get offended by violence towards dogs even more so than violence towards humans. For example, Nintendo had to force ID Software to replace the Nazi guard dogs with rats in the SNES version of Wolfenstein 3D. There's other media that had similar censorship but I can't think of any off the top of my head.
* Some of the most tear-jerking books and films involve dogs dying. People die all the time in books and films but dog deaths always get people more for whatever reason.
* You see more commercials and advertisements from non-profits asking to donate to help stray dogs or adopt animals from an animal shelter than you see commercials asking the same for orphaned, human children. It seems like people would rather help stray dogs than human children who have no parents.
* Dog fighting is illegal in most places, but boxing is not.

@coolboymew @Pawlicker @lina @atlas_core @hj Maybe it's because of my libertarian views. I don't discuss crypto that much, but I do occasionally share news articles, and discuss other libertarian projects such as seasteading and 3D-printing.
I do have an account on Nostr, but I only post gamedev stuff on there and I feel like I have more Nostr users following me on here than on actual Nostr.

That's actually what happened. BitcoinHackers was replaced with a Nostr node. The place is also popular with camgirls.

One of the ways in which the web is like an ecosystem is that a synthetic text spill in one part of it can leak into others. Here, someone has posted ChatGPT output (unclear to what end) and the Google indexed it.

@torproject announced they will participate in Gitcoin funding round and everyone immediately started attacking them, saying it's a scam, and telling them that they don't need the money (lol).
Well, Gitcoin is basically a crowdfunding platform. It's definitely not a scam, and I know many FOSS projects that used it. Also, Gitcoin is actually interesting because they use an innovative donation matching mechanism called Quadratic Funding (see https://www.wtfisqf.com).
There's nothing wrong with Tor Project using this platform to raise more money. Trying to prevent them from doing so is absolutely insane, and this is what brainwashing by "web3 is going just great" does to you. This account is slandering good projects while constantly promoting actual scams which no one would ever heard of otherwise.

@sjw The same company also made the GB Hunter for the Nintendo 64. It couldn't emulate audio either, so they made this annoying song that plays non-stop when using it.
