The massive issue is the atmosphere around it wanking about representation. The representation issue is seriously weird and I feel like a lot of people have been, uh, nearly brainwashed around it. Either that or they're lying about it and just want more visibility. This is so weird. I'm immune to such criticism of "that's because you're well represented in media!" because I watch nothing but anime. Despite big cultural differences, food (lots of rice!) and such, there's still plenty of character to relate to

The reality is that the articles about it has been crazy numerous and we have outright proof there's a push for it with all of the "diversity officers" and leaked documents that talks about outright equity. And as usual, the discourse around it is toxic because the leftist completely owns the various platforms, so you're either quickly called an -ism, or outright moderated/banned because the comments have to be hand-in-hand praise harmony with no criticism allowed
