They don’t actually even care about accessibility, because they fundamentally don’t think gamers who want “hard” games should be catered to at all. I’ve had faggots in online games say that I’m being “toxic” for all sorts of reasons, too, ranging from the usual complaint about talking shit in game all the way to the opposite end of saying “it’s just a game.” And it is. It just a game.
Fundamentally, game “journalists” are to this day the detritus of journalism, which in turn is the detritus of the rest of society. So there’s no reason to act surprised when they write cockamamie opinions about video games. In fact, I think it would probably be best to just not read these opinions in the first place.
