There is the FCC broadband map for searching available ISPs in an area: https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/
I also don't know why it seems like everyone forgets that WISPs exist, and that they're a far more tangible option for getting broadband service to rural areas, and how in the hell people expect a rollout of FttH for every rural customer.
