@McNabb Modern games are mostly worse, so so much worse. The tools for making them has kinda peaked, but the quality is in a constant downward spiral for a few reasons.

- old games are good because they did the best with what they had, finely polishing it until it was the very best it could possibly be, modern games have large limits to what they can do so they just shove a bunch of random shit in and release it

- no more games made by a few dudes in a basement, if they are, theyre trannies that produce the most mid game ever

- AAA game studios just turned it into a money factory, producing the same old product over and over to make the same cash, never experimenting, never competeing

- game companies fired all people with talent and replaced them with diversity hires that suck

I could go on and on, i could write a fucking book of whats wrong with modern games

I usually don't effortpost on here but I might as well post why I quit taking YouTube as seriously. YouTube is not only rigged for the top dogs and ecelebs, to the point where it's nearly impossible to get noticed anymore unless you somehow fluke into getting one video from 5-10 years ago boosted by "the algorithm", but they also manipulate search results.

Try to find Alex Jones memes (that were clearly mocking his show or using his rants as sample material) and you'll see "approved" media sources giving you their opinion about how because he called something wrong he must be sued into oblivion and his life ruined until he is killing himself and his kids are brainwashed. Which is a shame because comedy gold like vid related got buried by the humorless Google employees who want you to live in a world where the only user generated content are fake as shit restoration videos from Vietnam, clickbait, and unfunny "wow zoom face" douchetubers with soyface thumbnails, or worse TikTok in general.

The problem is, you simply cannot expect to even get noticed on YouTube anymore as long as you're not making whatever Susan Wojack and advertisers want you to make. Search results and your related section are rigged to shit, and I mean if you saw the Twitter file stuff (which was badly released btw), you likely know this is 100% on YouTube as well. Actually no, they say the quiet part out loud all the time.

Old YouTube is dead, the funny videos are dead, and it's all now just a place for finding music and long ass "video essays" that sound like Patrick Bateman himself wrote them.
