But I'm sick of repeated code. It's either that or have HUGE parent classes and honestly, I'm seeing more advantages of composition over inheritance.
Honestly, the entity component design pattern is just the strategy pattern but for video games, but I'm not sure how efficient it is to store objects by giving them IDs and storing them in a hashmap. At that point, you are treating game objects like entries in a SQL database.

Next gamedev project, I'm using the Entity Component System. I'm sick of all this repeated code. I wish I knew about this pattern earlier.

@xianc78 @Hyolobrika even restricting guns is extremely gay. in the days of the colonists who wrote the second amendment people even had private warships, they were called privateers. You should be able to own any kind of military hardware you want even, not just civilian guns. If you have enough money you should be able to own a battleship or fighter jet if you so choose
