The problem with the internet in general in 2023 is that there is no more being neutral or refusing to pick sides. You either pick a side, or you will be simping for an abusive drug addict who will cut you off when you say "No" once (the real N-Word in this part of the internet is actually no).

One day it's apolitical, the next it's shouting the magic words and saying why kids need to take HRT.

Not even kidding but the library book shelf at my college is fucking woke books about coronavirus and fake news and the 2016 election and internet cyberbullying and books about BLM and shit (I believe its intentionally eye-catching to bait people into "reading" but that shelf is never read from), you'd think its those autogenerated rightoid images of kids books but its so real, and for some reason book 1 and 2 of "It's not my fault im not popular" mangas really does not balance it out on the shelf.

You know, it's funny contrasting Mastodon/Pleroma and Bluesky as well.

Bluesky openly advertises Sandbox mode as something you can use when you're ready. Mastodon's documentation warns you that you should only use limited federation mode for corporate networks and the like and that it goes against the ethos. Pleroma just downplays it and shoves it in the list of settings.

But even more worryingly, they're going for the same kind of "supernode" network that fucked over gnutella towards the end when Limewire was hardcoded to only use their gnutella supernodes (which acted as a kill switch). Nowadays it's more likely it'd be used as a censorship mechanism rather than a killswitch.

I don't feel this is going to take off. As jank as AP is, it seems like a giant clusterfuck compared to AP or even StatusNet (which still works if you somehow want to use a jank php piece of shit).

You know, this is worrying me because it reminds me of LBRY in a bad way.

LBRY is very infamous for context because while it's decentralized, the documentation is deliberately incomplete and you can't exactly host your own nodes. The only P2P hosting is from LBRY clients, and the rest are all Reflector nodes hosted by Odysee and the like.

What they're pushing for is a "whitelist", a "federation of allies", or worse GMail. They want only people they can approve of to federate, they do not want people they do not like in their cool kids club. The silver lining is that it's going to die off at that rate because the thing keeping Poast/Gab/etc. going is they're "Twitter for people banned from Twitter" and BlueSky is "Twitter for people mad at Musk" which isn't the same by any means.

Look at ResetEra and how it's mocked by most of the internet for having the worst moderation of any website on the internet, where posting is walking on eggshells. BlueSky will never take off if it has the reputation of "ResetEra but social media" like mastodon.social has.

I got some Gematria related to the recent mass shootings in Serbia.

The shootings occurred on May 4th, which can be written as 5/4 or 4/5. One shooting was located in Belgrade the other was located in Mladenovac

* Serbia = 54 (Ordinal) / 45 (Reverse Reduction)
* Belgrade 54 (Ordinal) / 45 (Reverse Reduction)
* Aleksander Vucic (current president or Serbia = 144 (Ordinal) / 54 (Reduction)
* Jesuit Order = 144 (Ordinal) / 54 (Reduction)
* Mladenovac = 54 (Reverse Reduction)

This occurred three days after another mass shooting in Serbia which occurred in Dubona which is 42 km south of Belgrade.

Jesuit = 42 (Reverse Reduction)
Dubona = 33 (Reverse Reduction)
Masonry = 33 (Reduction)

Good news for all the software development shops that never completed their microservice architecture projects. Monoliths are back in style.

@mozilla Mozilla is a sham Google sockpuppet that exists to give the illusion of competition. You faggots are even Google sockpuppets in your support for Orwellian censorship.
