@genmaicha @thomholwerda Lunduke likes to dig into open source finances. He did a nice piece on the Linux Foundation a couple of years ago. Seems like he released a piece on Mozilla finances today, hence the knee jerk reaction here.

No idea why anyone would call him a nazi. He’s just a nerd with slight old tech nostalgia obsession from the looks of it.

@xianc78 @KryptoBlok What they really fear is something much simpler: that ordinary people will stop trusting them en masse. That’s the true source of their power. No need for alien spacecraft or advanced technologies. Just plain old faith in the legitimacy of institutions and a lack of curiosity about the character of those who control them.

@xianc78 Of course, if the gov has a monopoly on this tech, then literally God help us all...

@xianc78 This reminds me of an interesting leak-type thing about ufo tech I found a while ago. In a nutshell, it claimed that the reason the us gov is hiding the tech is because it would basically make anarcho-frontierism a reality - but at the expense of encryption, which would be rendered useless. The average schmoe could just weld together their own ufo and become Han Solo, never paying taxes again. (There was also something about immensely-powerful WMDs being made possible....)

...I am only half-joking. I have no reason to suspect that Bill Gates has anything to do with the Lone Star tick besides his habit of introducing bugs to new places and trying to get other people to stop eating meat.

Added HP (which you can't see) and sprite flicker when you get hit. I normally put stats like HP in the title bar before adding a HUD, but that didn't show up in my recording.

CNN's front page on Obama's birthday.
It's the details.
Like Trump under an umbrella.
Umbrella = 84

The Jesuits are symbolized through an umbrella, because they infiltrate and take things down within.

Hey so I was doing some reading about how federation works and apparently my single-user instance just needs to be "seen" by other instances, and uh my circle is still small so can I buy a boost for "exposure"?

Pleroma is full of security vulnerabilities because OnlyFans paid people on Upwork to implement a bunch of features nobody wants.

Have you ever tried downloading an emoji pack from a server? No? Well that's the vulnerable code.

Anyway, hopefully everyone is using s3 for uploads by now and has the dedupe filter enabled.

Patch is being merged into Rebased now: https://gitlab.com/soapbox-pub/rebased/-/merge_requests/263

A patch was ready yesterday but I figured I'd wait til after it landed upstream first.

I was aware of the Zeebo's existence ever since it first had a Wikipedia article and was always morbidly curious about it, but now I realize how dogshit the console is. I can clearly see why Brazilians would rather stick to their Master Systems than play PS1 quality games at 12 FPS.

we're SO fucking close to getting this cola recipe down. I need to reduce the orange a bit and then it should be set. Unfortunately there are 3 separate ingredients which could be responsible for what I'm tasting:

- bitter curacao orange peel
- orange zest
- orange juice

Since the taste is slightly bitter I'm inclined to say its either the bitter orange peel or the zest (maybe too much of the pith is getting in due to my zesting technique). I'm going to start by halving the amount of bitter orange peel and see how that does
