With today's pleasant news that Nintendo is releasing a sequel to CD-i's Wand of Gamelon, I found out that a dedicated fan, in 2020, released a remake of the original Wand of Gamelon and Faces of Evil that run on both Windows and Linux! He took the download links down shortly after as to not offend Nintendo (should've let them up and forced them to acknowledge these games exist). Fortunately, they are archived: https://archive.org/details/FOER-and-WOGR

And then, this fan went on to start his own games company, Seedy Eye Software, where he created a brand new game which may be slightly inspired by those 90s classics, including hiring the Zelda and Link voice actors from those games, as well as some animators.
