I make everything public domain because I absolutely ignore all copyright and trademarks myself and don't want people annoying me about my code or other creative works. Just copy it or use it or do whatever the fuck you want to with it, don't bother me about it

Not every state is as friendly as this. There’s still potential to use eminent domain, tax adjustments, or even environmental sabotage to ruin this, among other things. Certain people are petty enough that they literally will fight to change state laws over allowing people to just live in peace.

They're getting either mac or win11, no local accounts, all cloud storage, win app store. It is not much different than android.
So to add on the list of proper things to do:
-No smart* anything.
-No tech illiteracy/finance an admin.
-Familial multi cession computer.
-FSF cert GNU/linux for the OS.
